Qualifications for and services by our Newcomer Greeter:

 

Only our Step guides are eligible to serve in this leadership role, and the qualifications for Step guides apply to this position as well. Commitment, consistency, and courage are incredibly important for this service.

Each Newcomer Greeter will make outreach offers to all newcomers to the conference at least once per month by phone, text, email, WhatsApp, etc. The commitment is to offer outreach, not to force outreach, although contact would be great. The hope is that each newcomer to the conference will receive at least one interaction with a Step guide per month.

Newcomer Greeters are available for general outreach as well as to clarify conference details, especially our website and Fellowship Drop-in. Our Newcomer Greeter is not a substitute for a Step guide or study buddy; you'll need those peeps for best results.

Newcomer Greeters serve for three months at a time and are eligible for a second three-month turn in this service role, although variety and diversity in this role are desired. Excellent leadership is much appreciated.
